Korean Air, the country’s top air carrier, announced lately that it would introduce a novel two-story A380 aircraft that consists of only Business Class seats on the second floor in May.
The 407 seat aircraft, constructed in partnership with Airbus, will be composed of 12 First Class, 94 Business Class and 301 Economy Class seats.The cabin spaces will be wider than those in the present airplanes operated by Korean Air and it is expected to launch social areas for its customers due to the amplified space. The air carrier plans to present a total of five A380 aircraft by the end of subsequent year and in addition will initiate another group of five by 2014. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will commence operating a scheduled service to Xiamen International Airport - making it the first airline to provide direct flights between Xiamen and Europe.
The statement was made at a latest press conference in Xiamen, at which vice-mayor Pan Shijian of Xiamen and Peter Hartman, the president and CEO of KLM signed a co-operation agreement.At the press conference, Hartman pointed out that this is the seventh destination in China for KLM and offers the airline the biggest destination portfolio for greater China (The Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan) with 43 flights a week. The new service will function 3 times a week.Flight KL883 will depart from Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, returning from Xiamen the next day. The return flight, KL884, will leave from Xiamen International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, arriving in Amsterdam on the same day. Flights will be operated with Boeing 777-200ER equipment, which can seat up to 318 passengers 35 in business class as well as 283 in economy class. Jetstar's Singapore branch has introduced unique long haul budget routes and the flights took off from Singapore's Changi Airport.

Delta Airlines Inc. plans to expand first class seating on its domestic fleet by 13 percent within 3 years to help win more of the business travelers who pay the maximum fares.

Qatar Airways recently announced an expansion of its East African network with 12 supplementary flights across 2 capital cities-Nairobi and Dar es Salaam.
The daily Nairobi - Doha flights has been increased to 12 flights a week and from January 3, an extra two flights will take capacity up to double daily. This expansion comes after five triumphant years of operations to Kenya's capital city. The Tanzanian capital, Dar Es Salaam, at present served daily, will obtain an added four flights a week from January 2. Jet Airways lately introduced its first flight to Italy, saying it intended to spread its global network in Europe as well as within the country. Oman Air, the National Carrier of the Sultanate of Oman is to commence a new service between Muscat and Milan in the first week of December.Oman Air's internationally acclaimed A330 aircraft will arrive at Milan's Malpensa Airport for the first time today (Friday 3rd December) and the airline will then operate 4 flights per week in each path.
