Formerly, precise seat selection was merely offered to Economy-Class travellers who booked by means of the Singapore Airline website as well as those in Suites, First and Business Class. Those booking with a travel agent, other airlines or by phone with Singapore Airlines were able to obtain only general seat selections. Jetstar's Singapore branch has introduced unique long haul budget routes and the flights took off from Singapore's Changi Airport.

From Oct 5 and Oct 31 respectively, SIA's all business class flights from Singapore to Los Angeles including its Singapore-Moscow-Houston flight will operate on a daily basis, up from 5 times per week currently. ![]() SQ608/609, that operates on the Singapore-Seoul sector, will fly 7 times per week, up from 4 times, as of Oct 31, bringing total frequency to and from the South Korean capital to 21 times a week, up from 18 times. Extra services will also be operated to destinations in Japan. SQ616/615 will operate three times a week connecting Singapore and Osaka, in addition to the present daily flights between both cities. SIA's Singapore to Istanbul via Dubai flight will be replaced by a direct Singapore-Istanbul service that will operate up to 4 times per week. A separate Singapore-Dubai service will be launched at three times per week, bringing SIA's service to Dubai to a total of 11 times weekly. The airline will also deploy a subsequent daily Airbus A380 service on the Singapore-Sydney route, replacing the 278-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with a 471-seater A380. Singapore Airlines will be launching new cabin products on its Boeing 777-200 aircraft which function through the Singapore-Auckland route and the Singapore-Christchurch route.
The retrofitted aircraft will begin service between Singapore-Auckland from July 3, 2010 and Singapore-Christchurch from August 1,2010. The B777-200s will be equipped with the airline's latest cabin offerings to offer additional space, comfort as well as greater product reliability across the fleet. The refitted B777-200s will be configured with both business class as well as economy class seats. Business class will comprise incline lie-flat leather seats in an up to date design similar to those on Singapore Airlines' Airbus A330-300 aircraft. ![]() The seats have a personal partition and superior control panel that allows the customer to personalize seating preferences or choose from various predetermined options. A six-way amendable headrest and lumbar support will provide utmost ergonomic support for a more relaxed rest. The economy class cabin will be renovated with a new modern look.
