Singapore Airlines Offering Additional Flights and Destinations

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has stated that it is implementing higher frequencies on select routes from Oct 31, 2010 - March 26, 2011, in response to development in travel demand.

From Oct 5 and Oct 31 respectively, SIA's all business class flights from Singapore to Los Angeles including its Singapore-Moscow-Houston flight will operate on a daily basis, up from 5 times per week currently.

Singapore Airlines
SQ608/609, that operates on the Singapore-Seoul sector, will fly 7 times per week, up from 4 times, as of Oct 31, bringing total frequency to and from the South Korean capital to 21 times a week, up from 18 times.

Extra services will also be operated to destinations in Japan. SQ616/615 will operate three times a week connecting Singapore and Osaka, in addition to the present daily flights between both cities.

SIA's Singapore to Istanbul via Dubai flight will be replaced by a direct Singapore-Istanbul service that will operate up to 4 times per week. A separate Singapore-Dubai service will be launched at three times per week, bringing SIA's service to Dubai to a total of 11 times weekly.

The airline will also deploy a subsequent daily Airbus A380 service on the Singapore-Sydney route, replacing the 278-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with a 471-seater A380. However, the total frequency to Sydney will remain unaffected at four flights per day.
