| Traffic Increase on Asian Routes for European Airlines |

Business Class Travel » Air Travel News Air Travel NewsFriday, July 9, 2010Excessive demand on Asian routes improved air traffic last month, three European airlines states in recent times , noting a rise in sales of business class tickets as economies begin to recover from the global recession. ![]() Air France-KLM, Europe’s largest airline, observed a strong rise in unit revenue in the month as growth in both passenger and cargo activity outpaced capacity, which had consciously been held down for the period of the recession.Scandinavian airline SAS and Finnish national carrier Finnair also stated that passenger traffic had increased last month, 0,4% and 12% year on year, respectively. All the three airlines credited part of the boost to a recuperating market for air travel in Asia, where economic growth has increased. SAS and Finnair stated that Asian traffic was up by 26% previous month . Finnair CE Mika Vehvilainen stated that particularly corporate travel has augmented. The demand comes above all, from European and Asian markets.SAS stated that the market continues to be capricious but a recovery has been noted on Asian routes, the majority being US routes and selected European routes.
