  Emirates Introduces Flights to Danish Capital, Copenhagen

Emirates has introduced a new service linking Dubai with the Copenhagen. The daily direct flights began lately, when flight EK151 took off from Dubai.

Richard Vaughan, Emirates' Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations Worldwide stated that Copenhagen brings a fresh and exciting dimension to the Emirates’ network With this service, Emirates’ passengers from Scandinavia no longer need to travel to Germany to join their flights. They can travel directly from the Danish capital all the way to the Far East and Australasia, by means of their ultra-modern hub in Dubai.

The Dubai Copenhagen route,which is the airline's 114th destination, will be served by an Airbus A330-200 in a three-class configuration.

Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Copenhagen Airports, Carsten Noerlund, stated that the route is an amazing news for many Danish and Scandinavian businesses that are operating in the growth markets of Southeast Asia, India, and Australia.It will also help attract both business travellers and tourists to Denmark.

  Hawaiian Airlines Provides Daily Flights

Hawaiian Airlines will be escalating its service from five flights a week to daily year-round nonstop flights connecting Sydney and Honolulu from December 14.

An increase in demand from April’s peak season guided the carrier to enhance its flight departure ex Sydney from four days per week to daily, due to aircraft availability. The airline has decided to continue this service from 03 August until 13 December, before commencing year-round daily service on 14 December.

Hawaiian Airlines senior vice president of marketing and sales Glenn Taniguchi stated that Australians are increasingly finding immense value in Hawaii vacations, and demand for their services has never been greater. He also added that the arrival of another aircraft later this year will allow them to meet the increased demand commencing in December.

  Korean Air to Launch the Second Airbus A380

Korean Air's second A380 aircraft is getting ready for long-haul flight journeys.Korean Air's second A380 made its initial appearance at the Paris Air Show that took place between June 20-26.

With the launching of the new aircraft, the airline will expand its A380 route service to New York.

Commencing August 8th, Korean Air will operate three flights a week to Seoul/Incheon-New York route for a month and from September will increase its frequency to 7 flights a week. Designed with the finest luxury and comfort in mind, and featuring a pioneering spacious interior, Korean Air’s second A380 is set to enlighten passengers the same way the first did. Korean air is configured in a three-class layout with around 407 seats in total, the lowest configuration of any A380 operator until now. Korean Air’s double-decker A380s feature cutting-edge facilities, with 12 ultra luxurious First Class Kosmo Suites and 301 Economy Class seats on the main lower deck, and 94 fully lie-flat Prestige Sleeper seats in Prestige Class (business class) on the upper deck. In addition, Korean Air accommodates unique in-flight facilities, such as the world’s first ‘Duty Free Showcase’ and a new onboard bar and lounge area, providing a brand new and highly enjoyable in-flight shopping and relaxation experience.

  British Airways Commences Daily Flights From Saudi Arabia in Winter

Due to strong, escalating demand, British Airways winter schedule has been further revised to comprise daily flights from Riyadh instead of the six it had previously announced. And with its five services a week from Jeddah, British Airways will manage a total of 12 flights connecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and London Heathrow by end October.

The Riyadh service will be served using a Boeing 777 providing a choice of four cabins that includes the award winning Club World (business class) as well as the airlines flagship cabin, First.

Paolo De Renzis, Regional Commercial Manager Middle East stated that they were absolutely elated with the demand from the Saudi Arabian market ever since they resumed flights two years ago. He additionally stated that their two Kingdom’s share a great similarity and passengers are traveling for a wide variety of reasons from tourism to business to education.

  Etihad To Increase Flights To Erbil This September

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will double its flights from Abu Dhabi to Erbil from September beginning. 

The present twice-weekly service will augment to four services per week, complementing Etihad’s daily operation to its other Iraqi destination, Baghdad.

Etihad commenced two-class Airbus A320 operations to Erbil in June 2010, and the load factor on the route went beyond 80 per cent by May 2011. This additional capacity is aimed at meeting enduring high demand on Etihad’s Erbil flights.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways Chief Executive Officer stated that they were committed to building and strengthening ties in their region. With these additional flights, Etihad will provide air travelers from around the world extensively improved connection opportunities through their Abu Dhabi hub as they continue to add breadth and depth through additional frequencies on key routes across their expanding global network. He said that they expect to see continuing strong demand on these routes, particularly from government and business travellers, as well as people from Iraq visiting family and friends around the world.

  Air China Introduces Arrival Lounges

  Air Mauritius Commences Flights to Shanghai

Air Mauritius' initial flight to Shanghai left with around 200 passengers on board. After a short transit in Kuala Lumpur, the flight is landed at Shanghai International Airport (Pudong) on July 5,2011.

  Korean Air Commences A380 flights to Narita, Hong Kong

Korean Air has introduced its first-ever Airbus A380 commercial flights with services connecting Seoul Incheon and both Narita and Hong Kong.

Korean Air has ordered 10 A380 aircraft with the first 5 to be delivered by the end of 2011 and the left behind five by 2014. The airline will gradually develop its A380 services to popular short-haul routes in Asia, such as Bangkok from mid-July, followed by long-haul routes to chief destinations in Europe and North America, such as New York in August, Paris in September as well as Los Angeles in October 2011.
