The daily direct flights began lately, when flight EK151 took off from Dubai. Richard Vaughan, Emirates' Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations Worldwide stated that Copenhagen brings a fresh and exciting dimension to the Emirates’ network With this service, Emirates’ passengers from Scandinavia no longer need to travel to Germany to join their flights. They can travel directly from the Danish capital all the way to the Far East and Australasia, by means of their ultra-modern hub in Dubai. The Dubai Copenhagen route,which is the airline's 114th destination, will be served by an Airbus A330-200 in a three-class configuration. Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Copenhagen Airports, Carsten Noerlund, stated that the route is an amazing news for many Danish and Scandinavian businesses that are operating in the growth markets of Southeast Asia, India, and Australia.It will also help attract both business travellers and tourists to Denmark.
