The airlines will fly one daily round-trip flight on the route through Oct. 29. American Airlines will fly the route on Boeing 767-300 aircraft set up with 30 lie-flat business class seats as well as 195 seats in coach. ![]() Helsinki is a major hub for AA's oneworld partner Finnair.American Airlines in a release stated that the Helsinki flight is one of the fresh routes announced last October as a segment of American's trans-Atlantic dual business with British Airways and Iberia. Loretta Kuss, American's Regional Director, Passenger Sales for Chicago stated that the new service will allow Finnish passengers to connect to almost 75 destinations beyond Chicago, while allowing U.S. passengers to connect to almost 15 destinations across Scandinavia,the Baltics, Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Poland, Northern Germany as well as domestic markets in Finland.
