Business Class Travel » Air Travel News Air Travel NewsThursday, April 7, 2011The newest agreement between American Airlines and Expedia on the sharing of American Airlines' inventory, restoring American Airlines fares to Expedia and Hotwire through the Global Distribution System (GDS), has won endorsement from the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)."We are pleased to see collaboration leading toward an effective solution that serves both American Airlines and Expedia",Michael W. McCormick, managerial director and COO of the GBTA said. ![]() "As with any technology based system there is always room for novelty and we believe a collaborative approach that does not section the market is the best possible outcome." "In the end, with industry participants working together, we can improve on current technology and continue to focus on the creed that are critical to business travel procurement: transparency, access, and competition," McCormick said.
