| American Airlines and Japan Airlines declare Joint Business Benefits for Trans-Pacific Clients |

Business Class Travel » Air Travel News Air Travel NewsMonday, January 31, 2011Japan Airlines (JAL) and American Airlines (American) announced today the execution of the next phase of their joint business through joint selling in Japan commencing February 1, 2011. The two airlines have more strongly coordinated most of their business class and economy class carrier-filed fares for North America-bound flights originating from Japan effective April 1, 2011 - the day the airlines commence their trans-Pacific joint business. As a consequence of the two airlines’ tighter relationship and closer coordination, it will now be easier for clients to take advantage from carrier-filed discount fares for itineraries using both airlines as well as a grouping of different classes of service. A few combinations of carrier-filed fares within Economy Class will also now be available. The close cooperation and beginning of shared selling announced lately enables clients better access to lower fares and provides them many more choices when making travel arrangements.
