Hansung Airlines will recommence operations around July.According to the airline industry, the budget airline obtained court approval for a renewal plan last month and lately concluded steps to relaunch.


Based in Cheongju, Hansung began as the nation's first low-cost carrier in August 2005 but temporarily stopped services in October 2008 when it applied for court receivership.Recently acquired by Tomato Savings Bank, it hopes to launch two airliners to proffer domestic flights, begining with the Gimpo-Jeju route.

An official with the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs stated that in case it speeds up arrangements it will be able to recommence operations by July which is a peak travel season.
