  Codeshare Agreement between Gulf Air and Jet Airways

In order to improve connectivity between India and Bahrain, Jet Airways and Gulf Air have entered into a code-share agreement.The agreement will be effective from April 12. As per the agreement, Gulf Air will place its flight code on Jet Airways' routine services connecting Mumbai and Bahrain while Jet Airways will place its flight code on all Gulf Air-operated flights connecting Bahrain and Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

Nikos Kardassis, CEO, Jet Airways stated that in addition to offering improved connectivity to Bahrain from more than a few cities in India, the accord will also enable the guests from Bahrain to tap into their supreme domestic network, besides complimenting the presented frequent flier partnership.Jet Airways presently flies to 42 domestic destinations across India, and 22 destinations across North America, Europe, Asia as well as the Gulf.

Gulf Air CEO Samer Majali state that the agreement will allow both carriers to further leverage their relevant networks, providing passengers improved connectivity, baggage checked-through to their finishing destination and a host of additional benefits. Gulf Air's present network spans from Europe to Asia, connecting 43 cities in 28 countries with a fleet of 35 aircrafts.
