Business Class Travel » Air Travel News Air Travel NewsFriday, March 19, 2010Air New Zealand says it will eradicate business class seating from its A320 aircraft flying between New Zealand and Australia.The airline says since as few as one in eight business class seats are being sold on the A320 flights ,they have decided to replace them with more economy class seats,increasing capacity to 171 seats. ![]() A business class cabin and service will still exist on flights to and from Auckland using wide bodied aircraft and flying at peak times when business travelers may still demand additional service.The carrier conveys that many companies that allow staff to fly business class on international flights consider the trans-Tasman service alike to a domestic flight and demand for seats at the pointy end has fallen markedly since the Global Financial Crisis hit. Group GM short haul airline, Bruce Parton stated that for more than a year, Air NZ has had a team obtaining an improved understanding of what customers crave in these exceedingly spirited markets and the innovative changes that is being introduced are based on the feedback from customers.
