| United Airlines Fourth Quarter Loss Shrinks;Business Travel Improving |

Additionally,not including fuel hedges and special items, UAL lost $1.05 for each share.
![]() Chief Financial Officer Kathryn Mikells conveyed in a prepared statement on Wednesday that with business and premium traffic escalating and the benefit of an improved cost structure, United Airlines is moving on the road to closing the profitability gap,Revenue dropped 7.8 percent to $4.19 billion. United Airlines said it will build around $60 million in aircraft deposits for the period of the first quarter for the huge jet order it announced late last year.The company finished the quarter with $3.04 billion which is a billion more than the same time last year. It raised money uncompromisingly in 2009, mortgaging airplanes and parts as well as offering stock. Kathryn Mikells also added that UAL has taken any near term liquidity issues off the table and now benefit from a greater degree of financial flexibility. |
