Business Class Travel » Air Travel News Air Travel NewsTuesday, February 2, 2010 Continental Airlines will increase flights from Newark Liberty International Airport to London's Heathrow Airport in March.Additionally,with new lie-flat seats in BusinessFirst class ,it is attempting to augment its competitive position on the well traveled route.The airline will include a fourth daily service in March as well as a fifth in the fall to the United Kingdom's busiest airport. Jeff Smisek, chief executive officer stated that all the New York-London customers will gain from more flight options.Jeff Smisek also described New York-Heathrow as a flagship route.From March 27, Heathrow-bound flights will leave Newark at 9 a.m,6:40 p.m., 7:20 p.m. and 8 p.m.On Oct. 30, a 10:10 p.m. daily departure will also be included. ![]() Continental Airlines also stated that effective June 1, all of its aircraft scheduled for Heathrow flights will include seats in BusinessFirst that recline to lie entirely flat, like a bed.
