Korean Air's A380 Makes its Debut In the United States

Korean Air completed its inaugural A380 to the United States last week, initiating service on the superjumbo jet connecting Seoul Incheon and New York JFK on Aug. 9.

With the service, Korean Air became the first airline to deploy a A380 on a frequently scheduled flight across the Pacific from New York.

Korean Air is also the first A380 livery so far to feature a dominant color other than white.

With just 407 seats on its A380, Korean Air's version of the superjumbo jet is configured with fewer seats than any other passenger airline presently flying it. The airline had already promised the most spacious A380 anywhere last fall when it began to disclose the first details as to how it would layout the inside of the aircraft.
