  Bmi To Introduce Daily Service To Libya

British Midland Airways(BMI), one of Britain's Airlines is to introduce a daily service from London to the capital of Libya,Tripoli. The service, operated by an Airbus A319, will commence on 1st December 2010 and the booking is already available .

The business class cabin will provide a full business class service, comprising of hot meals with a British twist served on all flights as well as a fully stocked bar service. The seating in the business class cabin will offer a 2:2 configuration, with the middle seat kept free to provide additional space to work or just to unwind.

The economy class provides full service benefits such as free checked baggage to a total weight of 20kg and a complimentary food service comprising a hot breakfast and full bar service throughout the day.

Business class customers as well as Diamond Club Gold and Silver members can benefit from BMI's flagship international lounge, the Great British Lounge, at London Heathrow Terminal One. Additionally, Star Alliance Gold members will also be provided complimentary lounge access.

  British Airways Plans to Commence New Routes to Haneda in Japan

British Airways has lately announced the launch of a new route to Haneda Airport in Japan. This latest route is intended at growing the domestic Japanese market to UK travelers. The airline will commence a five a week service from Heathrow International Airport to Haneda and the service is expected to start as of February 19 next year. This route will be served by a Boeing 777 with a four class configuration. This will facilitate customers to select from First Club, World/Business Class,World Traveler Plus, or World Traveler. Prices for this flight will begin at £721 and increase depending on the class the traveler selects.

The Haneda Airport is situated near the business center in Tokyo. Hence this new route will not only appeal to the domestic network, but also to premium customers as well. This is the main reason why the airline opted to add four diverse seating configurations.The rest of the changes to the network is expected to take place as of March 27, 2011.

  Airline Provides Money-Back Satisfaction Guarantee

All business class airline OpenSkies is providing a guarantee to customers that they will enjoy their flight. On other hand, they are willing to provide a full refund if they don't . The airline announced its new "Love Everything or Pay Nothing" guarantee on September 8, saying that the offer was extraordinary in the airline sector.

OpenSkies quoted that the deal was encouraged by a survey of passengers that revealed 96.85 percent of its passengers would recommend the airline.Clients can book the flights offered by OpenSkies, which runs an all business class service connecting New York and Washington to Paris, from September 8 through November 30 at flyopenskies.com or by calling the airline.

British Airways owned OpenSkies is one of only a handful of all-business class services in existence, following the end of most of its competitors in 2007-2008.A number of small airlines commenced transatlantic services during the mid-2000s only to be forced to cease operations following the spike in oil prices during 2008.

  American Airlines to Commence Service connecting Dallas/Fort worth and Rio de Janeiro

American Airlines, announced it will commence three days a week service connecting Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (GIG) from Dec 16.

The seasonal service will fly through April 4, 2011, and then resume for the summer season between June 9, 2011, and Aug. 22, 2011. The service will begin again for the 2012 season on Nov. 22, 2011. The flights will be operated using Boeing 767-300 aircraft that provide two-class service with 28 Business Class seats as well as 191 Economy Class seats.

Peter Dolara, American's Senior Vice President – Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America stated that these new flights offer a brilliant opportunity for people from Texas, the Southwest, West Coast and Midwest to fly via the largest hub at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Brazil's most well known cultural and tourism destination, Rio de Janeiro.He also added that they believe seasonal service through Dallas/Fort Worth is an ideal accompaniment to the upcoming new daily flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport that starts on Nov 18 as well as the already existing daily flight from Miami International Airport.

The Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert stated that they were very excited that Rio will be joining the growing list of destination points from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.In addition he said that for vacation and business travelers alike, the region's worldwide reputation continues to develop and they were pleased American Airlines is helping connect them with the world.

  Lufthansa Introduces A380 Service to Beijing

Lufthansa's third Airbus A380 entered scheduled service on September 1, just a week after being delivered to the airline. The aircraft, known as Peking, departed from Frankfurt for the Chinese capital at 1720hrs under flight number LH720 and arrived in Beijing at 0830 hrs local time.Initially, the A380 will serve Beijing weekly once. In coordination with Chinese authorities, Lufthansa aims to steadily raise the frequency of this service.

On 12 September, Lufthansa Airlines will commence flights to its third A380 destination, Johannesburg.The city will be served twice weekly, on Thursdays as well as on Sundays. In the Lufthansa configuration, the Airbus A380 can accommodate up to 526 passengers.

The completely revamped First Class cabin with eight generously proportioned seats on the upper deck stands for uniqueness, the ultimate in comfort and technical innovation, which significantly enhances the travel experience.

  Air India Will Commence Every Day Mumbai-Abu Dhabi Flights From Nov 1

Air India presently operates five weekly flights to Abu Dhabi. This frequency has been increased to daily flights, the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) said.The decision is to meet the increasing demand in flight services in the sector.

The Mumbai-Abu Dhabi route recorded a 17 percent increase in customer traffic in the first half of 2010, compared with the related period last year. The added services will raise Air India's total number of flights to Abu Dhabi to 14, linking the UAE capital with both Mumbai and Delhi.

Air India will operate the high-tech A321 aircraft which will leave from Abu Dhabi at 2.40 a.m., and will land in Mumbai at 6.55 a.m. It will proffer both business and economy class services, ADAC said.

Ahmed Al Haddabi, senior vice president of airports' operations at ADAC said stated that they were delighted to see that the airline partners are keen to expand their services to meet their passengers increasing demand.

  Etihad To Commence All Economy Service In October

Etihad Airways, the Abu Dhabi-based national airline of the UAE, will launch its first all economy class aircraft into its fleet in October 2010. The two Airbus A320s will be configured to carry 162 economy class passengers which is an addition of 42 from the present economy capacity.

The entire economy cabin aircraft will function to short haul Etihad destinations, which have soaring demand for economy traffic and low demand for premium traffic. Initially these destinations will include Alexandria, Calicut, Colombo, Damascus, Doha and Thiruvananthapuram.

Plans are in place to widen the all economy fleet to 10 A320 aircraft which will facilitate the airline to launch new short haul destinations which have low demand for premium travel and also to existing Etihad destinations.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ Chief Executive Officer stated that Etihad has developed at an extraordinary pace during the past six and a half years.He also added that Etihad has built a strong brand and a strong business, and it is the right time to challenge the way we serve our diverse markets and segments.

He added that the all economy aircraft will permit Etihad to provide a more competitive product in key point-to-point markets in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and the Indian Subcontinent, while maintaining the high standards of service we have become famous for.

Customers traveling on the fresh 'all economy' aircraft will obtain the same world class service and product that is featured on the present narrow body fleet, such as seat back in-flight entertainment screens as well as hot and cold meals and beverages.
