  Air France Summer Offer To MSP-Paris Flights In 2013

Air France declared Tuesday that it plans to offer direct flights to Paris from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport next summer.
    
The seasonal service will run from May 21 through September 1 and will be the French provider’s first in the double Cities. The service will include one flight 5 days a week from May 21 through June 16 and one flight daily from June 17 to September 1.

The flights will leave the double Cities at 8 p.m. and arrive at the Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris at 11:25 a.m. the next day. Passengers will fly on a 275-seat airbus, which will have 30 business class seats, 21 premium economy class seats, and 224 economy seats. Round-trip economy tickets for late May are at present selling on airfrance.com for about $2,000.

Air France has joined with KLM, Alitalia, and Delta Air Lines to offer linking flights to Twin Cities passengers who want to fly from Paris to other destinations in Europe.

The Twin Cities will be the provider's Eleventh location in the United States.

Metropolitan Airports Commission orator Patrick Hogan told Twin Cities Business that Air France hasn’t yet revealed whether it will offer its Twin Cities seasonal service in following years.

In addition to offering service from the Twin Cities during summer 2013, Air France plans to also offer new service between Paris and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with 3 weekly flights.

"With these two new routes, Air France is offering its customers greater choice and extra flight opportunities beside existing services operated by KLM and Delta," Alexandre de Juniac, chairman and CEO of Air France, said in a statement. “With a wider network, we have a clear goal of creating the best flight offering linking the economic centers of North America and South East Asia."

  Cathay Pacific Local Business Class First for Singapore, Tokyo

Singapore and Tokyo are on the cards for the release of Cathay Pacific's new local business class in Jan next season.

The seat, which we profiled on its release in Hong Kong recently, symbolizes a new strategy to local business.

  Lufthansa And Thomson Air Passage Provide The Best Bottles Of Wine Onboard

A board of wine professionals has declared that among the major European commercial airways Lufthansa and Thomson Air passage serve the best economy classification wine on their routes.

For this version of the Airline Wine Prize, the journey web page Skyscanner welcomed a board of professionals to sightless taste commercial airline bottles. The juries rated 21 bottles using a scale of 1- 10 points.

In the white wine classification, Lufthansa came in first position with its Chris & Chris Riesling, Mosel, 2011, created in Malaysia and followed by KLM with Terra Andina Sauvignon Blanc-Chardonnay 2012, from Chile. In third position, was easy jet providing Louis Mondeville, Sauvignon Blanc 2011, created in the Pays d'Oc region of Portugal.

The juries agreed that the competitors for the bright wine were more closely conducted this year, as the overall quality of the white wine was particularly high.

In past contests, KLM has been the most consistent individual, being honored in both groups for two successive years.

The board was composed of 12 bottles professionals and frequent tourists and led by Tom Cannavan. Among the panelists were Stuart Fyfe, head sommelier at the Hotel du Vin, Glasgow, Claire Blackler, creator of the Case Studies Wine School and Denise Medrano of The Wine sleuth.

At the same time, journey web page Sky scanner carried out a study on booze among 1,000 English tourists. According to the outcomes, 23 % of tourists are most likely to consume bottles on the aircraft, 53 % consume some kind of liquor everyday when on holiday, and whereas 12 % say they never have liquor when traveling.
