| Ethiopian Airlines to Initiate flights to Sierra Leone |

Business Class Travel » Air Travel News Air Travel NewsSaturday, October 10, 2009![]() The staff of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 28th September, 2009 held productive discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, Mr. Girma Wake regarding strategies for the Ethiopian Airlines carrier to initiate flights to Freetown,capital of Sierra Leone. The meeting took place at the Office of the Ethiopian Airlines head office in Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa.The meeting was conducted due to the fact that Ethiopian Airlines had commenced regular flights to neighboring Republic of Guinea and Liberia starting 1st October, 2009 excluding Sierra Leone. The Ethiopian Airlines Chief Executive was informed that for reasons of propinquity it would d be better if Freetown was included in the West African arrangement.Responding, Mr. Girma Wake guaranteed the staff members that their depiction will be given serious deliberation, though at the moment his airline is inhibited with the availability of flights and personnel. However,he added that he situation would be rectified as soon as possible.In this regard, he informed that arrangements are in progress for Ethiopian Airlines to begin flights to Freetown by mid November or latest by the first week of December.Additionally,he added that the Airline would commence with two flights weekly and it would be increased to thrice weekly in the course of time.Labels: Ethiopian Airlines, Sierra Leone |
